Last week I had the incredible honor of being the lead makeup artist at a stunning rooftop gala in Manhattan. Thirty faces, four hours, and one unforgettable evening. Here is a look behind the scenes.
The Creative Brief
The event theme was “Gilded Garden” — think warm metallics, lush greens, and opulent textures. I developed three signature looks for guests to choose from: a soft golden eye, a dramatic smoky wing, and a fresh dewy complexion with bold lip.
The Setup
My team and I set up a luxurious beauty lounge with three stations, full lighting rigs, and a curated product wall. Guests could walk in, pick their look, and emerge transformed in under 45 minutes. The energy was electric.
